    Dan Pfaff

    Coach Dan Pfaff is considered the pre-eminent speed/power coach and coach-educator in the world today. He has tutored 49 Olympians including nine medalists, 51 World Championship competitors, and five world-record holders. He has directed athletes to 57 national records across a multitude of events. His legacy of coach development is unprecedented and continues to inspire coaches today. Dan has served on five Olympic Games coaching staffs in five different countries and nine World Championships staffs for six different countries. He has lectured in 27 countries and is published in over 20 countries. Dan joined the World Athletics Center as Education Director and Lead Jumps Coach in March of 2013, after a successful 3 year stint in London with UK Athletics, where he coached Long Jumper Greg Rutherford to Olympic Gold.
  • Dr. Anatoliy Bondarchuk

    Olympic Coach, Sport Scientist

    Dr. Anatoliy Bondarchuk

    World-leading coach, athlete and sport scientist Dr. Anatoliy Bondarchuk has an unprecedented resume in global sports. As an athlete he was the Olympic Champion in the hammer throw in 1972 and the bronze medalist in 1976. As a coach, he has mentored over 40 elite calibre athletes to 105 International Championship medals. Six of these athletes have earned 24 medals in various World Cup, World Championship & Olympic Games competitions. As a sport scientist, Dr. Bondarchuk developed his own unique system of developing athletes, one based upon an athlete's individual response to a training stimulus rather than using a calendar-based approach. Based upon over 30 years of his own research on Soviet athletes, it is truly one of the most enlightening and intriguing methods of training in the world today.

    Pierre-Jean "PJ" Vazel

    Pierre-Jean "PJ" Vazel is regarded as one of the world’s brightest young minds in sport today. He was the coach to Olusoji Fasuba, Men’s 100m African record holder (9.85s) and 2008 World Champion over 60m. He has also coached several of Frances’ most famous sprinters including Ronald Pognon and Christine Arron. In addition to working with Elite athletes, he is also the sprints coach and coach coordinator for Athlétisme Metz Métropole in France and is a reporter for the IAAF and La Monde. He also currently coaches Quentin Bigot, one of the world’s top hammer throwers. A trained artist, Vazel also has a keen interest in Track and Field statistics. Through years of research he has developed an excellent understanding of the history of the sprints and hurdles across the world and collects data on the training methods of many of the world’s most famous athletes and coaches.

    Fuzz Caan

    Fayyaz “Fuzz” Caan has been the National Lead Coach for the high jump in Britain for over a decade, producing many of the UK’s top high jumpers, including Robbie Grabarz, 2012 Olympic bronze medalist. Coaching performance and getting the best out of athletes are areas of expertise. A former 2.21m high jumper at Iowa State University, Fuzz is also a professional actor and brings a unique style to his coaching and presentations.
  • Nick Garcia

    Nick Garcia

    Nick Garcia is one of the leading high school throws coaches in the United States. Known for his systematic approach to athlete development and use of progressions in developing athletes, for the past 13 seasons he has served as the strength and throws coach at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. During this time he has guided more than 40 shot putters to over 50ft. (15 m), 15 over 55ft. (17m) and 5 athletes over 60 ft. (18m). He is certified as a level three USATF coach and level five IAAF coach, as well as by CSCS and USA Weightlifting. With a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Kinesiology, Nick is also an experienced presenter on both strength systems and throws training. He is a faculty member for the Gambetta Athletic Improvement Network (GAIN) and has presented at the Canadian National Throws Conference, LA84 Advanced Clinic, and multiple courses and clinics for both the World Athletics Center and HMMR Media.

    Derek Evely

    Derek Evely is a sport educator and expert in the Bondarchuk methodology and elite training systems. He brought Dr. Bondarchuk to North America in 2005 and has worked closely with him ever since. He has used the system to produce successful athletes across all events in athletics, refining the principles and methods to the North American style of coaching.
